The Serengeti Resort, a remarkable boutique destination located just fifteen minutes north of San Antonio, 1.5 hours from Austin, 3 hours from Houston and 5 hours from Dallas - Fort Worth is hosting their annual Serengeti Wildlife Festival 2013.
The festival will introduce visitors to the South African -Texan resort, as well as feature fantastic cuisine, out of this world wine, local bands and musicians located throughout the Headquarter areas. We successfully combine both the ambiance of both South Africa and the Texas Hill Country. The festival will begin at 11 AM and won’t stop until midnight. The sights and sounds will be held mainly outdoors, but don’t miss the chance to dart in and out of all of our neat shops, lodges and vendor booths.
The Serengeti Resort is providing the opportunity to help our guests experience a little bit of Africa here in Texas, and setting the stage for an event so unique, it is unlike any other wine or food festival in the US. Where else can you taste wine from 10 different booths, sample food from vendors and amazing food trucks, go for a safari ride, listen to a sax playing in our grand lodge while sipping on your favorite glass of specialty beer, or have a great margarita in our shaded courtyard while munching down on homemade salsa and chips with the sounds of African drums playing in the distance? Where else can a giraffe nosily peer at you while you picnic with a great deli/cheese platter and some fabulous chardonnay or perfect cabernet?
