AUSTRALIA
2008 Chocolate Box “White Chocolate” Sauvignon Blanc
The non-oaked maturation of this wine has resulted in a style which offers a fresh herbaceous and zippy lemon grass nose. Straw gold color with lemon tints. Herbaceous bouquet with displays of asparagus, gooseberry and grapefruit. The palate has a tingly sherbet texture and a crisp clean flinty finish. Goes perfectly with seafood, salads and spicy Asian cuisine.
2007 Chocolate Box “Cherry Chocolate” This 36% Grenache, 34% Shiraz, and 30% Mataro blend is matured for 30 months in French oak barriques to a deep russet red. Spice and cinnamon over a robust and generous body. It leaves a persistent lingering silky finish. Earthy aromas of savouy oak, dark cherries and stewed rhubarb. A perfect match with game dishes such as water fowl, pheasant and venison, spicy pasta dishes and lamb.
2006 Duck Duck Goose Shiraz Cabernet Blend A beautifully balanced blend of two classic grapes, intense varietal fruit with plenty of body showing a nice balance of sweet oak and fine tannins. Deep, dark purple and red hues, with a rich bouquet of blackberry. A warm and generous palate with great length of flavours, silky smooth tannins flow to the end.
2006 Duck Duck Goose Chardonnay A nonoaked Chardonnay that is fresh fruit driven with melon and citrus overtones. The bouquet is flowing with ripe peach and nectarine which leads to the mouth-watering palate. It has strong varietal characteristics that pair beautifully with light foods such as fish, shellfish and cheeses. Pale golden straw, highlighted with vibrant lime hues
2007 Deakin Estate Moscato
Lovely, fresh Muscat grape aromas, like biting into a Granny Smith apple on a carpet of wild flowers in a summer meadow. Incredibly fresh, crisp palate like a firm but sweet apple, light bodied, light in alcohol, lightly Spritzy … and quite delicious. Just delicious on its own or with fresh fruit and cheese or a light dessert.
NEW ZEALAND
2007 Hawkes Bay “Red Wire” Blend
An enticing blend of classic red Bordeaux varietals combined to create a rich, robust, full-flavored wine. Juicy berryfruit and plum, underlined with spicy oak. Sweet fruit and firm but supple tannins make this wine a worthy accompaniment to many occasions. This wine is lightly oaked and blended from Hawkes Bay Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The tannins are fine and supple and make this an approachable red blend with elegance. Perfect with grilled meats, pizza and pasta dishes.
2007 Hawkes Bay “WHITE WIRE” Blend
This blend of 86% Chardonnay, 6% Gewürztraminer, 5% Riesling, and 3% Pinot Gris offers lots of floral and lemon/lime notes on the nose. A delightful white wine with hints of ripe melon and stone fruits, great texture and an ever-so-smooth mouth feel. Pear, yellow apple, anise and cooking spice on the palate help to give this wine an interesting appeal with aunique blend. Great as an aperitif.
2007 Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc
This vibrant, classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc presents a brilliant lemon-lime colour. Distinctive herbaceous and gooseberry aromas support a wonderfully balanced palate that is both fresh and refreshing. The mouth-filling herbal palate enhances the excellent fruit structure and length of this wine. Displaying intense gooseberry and capsicum characters, the lingering soft flavours provide a beautifully ripe and powerful wine with an abundance of richness, uplifted by fresh acidity and an impressive long finish.
2007 Kim Crawford Unoaked Chardonnay
White peach, grapefruit and melon with a hint of pineapple flavours are supported by a soft and textured mouthfeel (achieved through malolactic fermentation). It may have no oak, but this wine has an abundance of character. A rich full-length palate with hints of apricots, peaches and pears. Drink it with all seafood, delicate white meats and creamy pasta dishes.
SOUTH AFRICA
2008 Juno Chardonnay
A clean, well structured wine with mineral elements combined with notes of lime, almond, fig and honey. Well balanced wood and fruit components with a long finish.
2007 Juno Sauvignon Blanc
Pale straw with a hint of green. A crisp wine with mineral, lime tones and a slight flintiness with fresh citrus combining in a rich palate. A bold Sauvignon Blanc with an endless finish.
2007 Juno Shiraz
A vibrant, deep red Shiraz. White pepper, hazelnuts and cinnamon adds spice to the dark red fruit components.
2007 Juno Cabernet-Shiraz-Merlot Blend
A velvety, smooth red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz , and Merlot. Well rounded with a concentration of intense fruit flavors leading into a full, ripe finish. Its bouquet reveals a luscious combination of blackberry and raspberry fruits interwoven with smoke, black pepper and herb nuances. Juicy and smooth on the palate, the pure blackberry and raspberry fruit flavors are enlivened by the intriguing smoky, herbal and pepper spice elements.
2003 Serengeti Shiraz
A very drinkable, juicy wine with loads of spicy, dark fruit and smoky tannins. Wine partly matured in barrels for 8 months. A perfect companion for a well-aged steak or just drink with friends enjoying a selection of cheeses.
2005 Serengeti Sauvignon Blanc
A light, fruity wine with racy acidity and a distinct grapefruit flavour. This wine is an everyday wine complementing any salad, and of course, fish dishes.
ARGENTINA
2008 Alamos Malbec
This Malbec has a dark, blackish purple color. The nose shows ripe black fruits, black pepper spice and floral notes. The mouthfeel is full yet soft and supple, with black raspberry and currant flavors mingled with notes of sweet spice and a touch of leather. The finish is long and persistent with soft, sweet tannins.
2007 Alamos Torrontes
Torrontes has a unique expression in Argentina and has often been called the country's signature white varietal. Alamos Torrontes captures all of the explosive aromatic character of this Argentine grape, with lively notes of citrus and peach fruit interwoven with delicate layers of jazmine blossom and fresh herbs. The wine is light and fresh on the palate with excellent balance and finishing with bright, crisp acidity.
2008 Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2008 Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon presents a dark purple color with garnet tones. The nose is explosive, with red fruit flavors, sweet spice and a touch of fresh mint. The mouthfeel is full yet soft, with red currant and cassis fruit layered with notes of cigar box, leather and ripe black fruits. The finish is focused, with finely grained tannins adding structure and length.
2008 Alamos Chardonnay
Full-bodied, red apple and pear fruit fill the mouth, along with some bright yellow stone fruit and just a hint of toffee from brief oak aging adding some richness and texture. The wine has a truly fresh flavor profile; a delicious, versatile, everyday chardonnay.
